Dyslexia Therapist Training
Date: June 8-26, 2009

The Scottish Rite Learning Center of South Texas offers Dyslexia Therapist Training for certified Texas public school teachers. This two-year comprehensive training is designed for teachers of students with dyslexia using proven intervention techniques and is accredited by the International Multisensory Structured Language Educational Council.

Program Information
The program offers training in:

• Educational identification of dyslexia
  
• Characteristics of dyslexia
  
• Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia, a multisensory, structured approach to teaching , developed at TSRH
  
• Classroom strategies and techniques used for students with dyslexia
  
• How to conduct parent and teacher information seminars

Summer at Scottish Rite
Dates: July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24, 2009

The Scottish Rite Learning Center of South Texas will offer Reading and Language Learning Camps in Summer 2009. Separate sessions are geared toward ages 5-7 years and 7-12 years.
