2007 Rite Flight Seminar
A Fluency and Comprehension Program
for Effective Reading Instruction
This workshop addresses two important components
identified by the National Reading Panel as needed for effective
reading instruction – Reading Rate (Fluency) and Reading
Comprehension. The curriculum is designed to be used with
the struggling reader in the regular classroom. Students
who benefit from the program include those who are not dyslexic
and have adequate decoding skills but lack adequate fluency or
rate and/or reading comprehension, as well as students with dyslexia
who have received remediation but still lack adequate fluency or
rate and/or reading comprehension.
